Washing Nursing Uniforms At Home Poses Risks

One of the most confusing policies for nurses is regarding washing nursing uniforms.   Given the lack of national ordinance on how nurses should wash their uniforms, policies tend to change from hospital to hospital. It is found out that the lack of a cohesive and standardized policy on washing nursing uniforms have severe health-related consequences. Nurses are left in the dark as to how they should properly disinfect their scrubs.

In order to disinfect nursing scrubs properly, nurses should be educated on proper domestic laundering.
